I have had 3 different Litter Maids over the years and and they have continually gotten worse in quality. I was so fed up with them! Then I read a review on Amazon.com about the LitterRobot. I went to your site and read the testimonials and decided to try it since it had such a good return policy.
I love this litter box. It did not take long to get my cats to go in it and they seem to like it alot. There is absolutly no mess at all! How refreshing! A litter box that works! AND I don't have to buy those expensive, poluting recepticles. I only have to change the bag once a week with two cats.
Thank you for inventing a great product. I am telling all my friends with cats about this.

We received our Litter Robot at the end of January, having considered it for almost a year. Because of the high cost, I chose a reconditioned unit. The unit arrived in excellent condition. Setup is as easy as advertised, and the unit is very easy to keep clean. We have ten cats, and only 3 are not using the robot at this time. The house never has a cat odor any more, and we are using a fraction of the litter with a fraction of the tracking that we had in the past.
As a suggestion for some who have still noticed an odor, I found Ruffies color scents trash bags (8 gallon, 76/bag) for under $4.00 at Wal-Mart. The scent seems to be just enough to take care of any residual odors you might have.
Even with 10 cats, the litter box chore is now just one small bag out to the trash each night. This cat box probably saves me more time than my dishwasher.
Thanks Litter Robot.

I already have a testimony in there some place. Just want to let you know, we did a complete cleaning of the LRII today (could have waited one more month after looking at it and cleaning it). Piece of cake!! I stuck it in the shower and rinsed with warm water. 10 minutes later I was done. It is drying right now (I just turned the heat on in the bathroom and put a fan in front of the drum to circulate the air).
Also, the best part of all is we only add 2.5-4 cups of litter (measured) 2 times a week (we have two cats that use the LRII pretty heavily). The maximum time allotted between emptying the tray is 4.5 days for two cats. WE LOVE THIS MACHINE.

I have had 2 different litter maids in the last 1 1/2 yrs....both were a horrible mess to clean and just stopped working. Having multiple cats, I was unsure as to how they would re-act to this machine. My first one came and within just several days...they were using it. No smells and very little tracking outside of the dome. It worked so well that I have ordered a second unit for another room......I love this...and even with multiple cats using each unit, I only need to empty the drawer about every 3 days or so....
It also keeps dogs out of dirty litter!!!
Thank You!

I just have to give you my vote. Having three cats in the house, I spend a lot of time cleaning the litter box. The cost was also a great factor. I was spending about $30.00 to $40.00 a month. At one of my client's house I noticed the box and bought one. The amount of money and time it had saved me was worth the initial outlay. Every 3 months I would pull it apart and clean the housing, which was not really dirty ( I just like my cats to have a clean bathroom).
Just wanted to say thank you for a great product, kudos to the inventor.

We're very happy with the Litter-Robot. We have three older (and one of them larger - about 16 lbs) indoor cats. I was a "litter" concerned that the old cats wouldn't learn new tricks and that, based on Litter-Robot's "literature", the big lunk just might not fit. However, life is good in the kitty bathroom. Two of the cats caught on within a couple weeks. The big guy was slower: after a "litter"
while longer he started using the Litter-Robot for #1 but #2'd on the floor along side the Litter-Robot. After some timely and friendly suggestions from Shirley with Automated Pet Care Products Customer Service (clean out the inside of the globe and try using Cat Attract brand litter) and, for a while, putting the old-fashioned litter box alongside (to keep #2 off the floor), the lunk caught on. This
revelation occurred only a few days before the 60-day money-back return policy expired. I put away the old litter box and after a few weeks switched back to a more economical litter. The Litter-Robot and the cats have been doing what they're supposed to ever since (about 4 additional months). Occasionally, when we're out of the house for a few days, I put the old litter box back alongside for a "litter" extra capacity, but they choose (except maybe for a couple #1's) to use the Litter-Robot. So, the moral of the story is -- be patient and seek help from the masters if your cats are not cooperating.
One benefit that we were hoping for that has worked out nicely: We have a small indoor dog that has a disgusting habit of getting into the cats' litter box for a little snack (uuugh!). We've trained her to stay away, but still leave her in a separate part of the house when we're gone since she occasionally falls off the wagon. With the Litter-Robot, the "treats" are swept away a few minutes after they're
produced, reducing (almost eliminating) the likelihood that our dog will find anything if she looks.
I'm the one who used to have the daily chore of scooping two litter boxes (we used to have 5 indoor cats). Having just one "box" that does the scooping for me is a real treat. Don't deceive yourself though, there is still maintenance involved. With three cats, I change out the tray bag about every two days (I probably could go three) and you do have to supplement the "clean" litter every few days. (Maybe Litter-Robot III will empty the tray, take the bag out to the trash, and add more clean litter!!) All in all, I'm extremely happy with the Litter-Robot and highly recommend it. It's on the high end, price-wise, but it's also on the high end, performance-wise, so if you can afford it, buy it! Based on our experience, you won't be disappointed.
Regards,

Even though I returned the one I bought a year ago because one of the cats just wouldn't use it, I recommended it today to someone else:
"I bought one of these for Christmas a year ago and she loved it - provided odor control and prevented the dog from "snacking". Unfortunately, one of the cats would not use it, even though they offer a progressive training regimen to get older cats to adapt, so we returned it after a few weeks. They have a no questions asked return policy (less the shipping costs) so I stand by the company. Not cheap ($300), but it really works. I saw one at someone's house before I bought it. Unlike the "raking" ones that get gunked up, this worked consistently."

After years of frustration from scooping out conventional litter boxes, I went online investigating automatic litter boxes. I wasn't thrilled with the reviews of other automatic boxes. I stumbled across Litter-Robot online, but dismissed it due to the high cost. I came back, however, and began reading reviews. After reading about the payment plan and all the great reviews, I decided to order. This product is fabulous!!!. We have 3 cats, and my male cat used it within 20 secs. My larger cat, over 12 lbs, used it within the first day with no issues. We have one last cat that is taking some convincing, although she took convincing to use a litter box in the first place.
My male cat is so fascinated, that ever time he hears it start up, he runs into the laundry room to watch it. Sometimes he tries to climb in, but it stops immediately. My only suggestion for improvement is to put a sixth grommet in the front to hold the bag. Otherwise it is perfect!!!

Hi,
I just want to say that it took my girls about 10 days to start using the "Bot" but use it they did ... I feel like singing like Julie Andrews on the mountaintop. I finally had to take away their old box (the cold turkey method) and sprinkled Cat Attract on the litter which worked like a magnet - amazing. I also think because of the styling of the "bot" my one won't be ambushing the other. I'm thrilled is an understatement.
I think the whole system is pretty darn amazing, and the look of the black Star Wars model is very sleek. The delivery box was pretty scary ... I thought you sent a trainer along with the "bot" but, no, it just was a great packing job. The unit itself is not huge, about the size of a kitchen trash can. I've read about the noise and to that I say "what noise?", it is very quiet. I am impressed.
I, like many others, contemplated yet another litter box discovery, asking myself how much more will I spend in search of the perfect box? I made one more investment and it's the best money I've spent. Clean litter, no daily dumping, scraping, etc., no smell (I've put baking soda in the trash bag just in case) is it worth the investment - you can bet your cat's butt on that LOL As one person stated, now if it will only take the stuff outside, it would be a perfect world.
Again, thank you for coming up with such a great product, sleek, well made and does the job. I will continue to monitor my 2 cats to make sure they are getting used to the "bot" and hopefully, by next weekend it will be set on automatic.

Hello there,
I have been trying to submit feedback for my Litter robot for the past six months, but my computer does not support Outlook Express. I hope that I can get feedback to you this way.
Firstly I live in the Uk and found it very difficult to obtain a Litter-robot. Eventually I was able to buy one from you from your European distribution center at a great price. I have 4 cats - two Singapuras, one Birman and a Siamese and they are
all house cats. I previously bought 3 littermaids and they all went wrong due to damaged circuit boards. It was impossible to send them back to the manufacturer from the UK, so I searched the web and found the litter robot.
I have had mine for six months now, and cannot praise it highly enough. The cats took to it straight away, there is absolutely no smell and it uses far less litter than the Littermaids (I use the Worlds Best Cat Litter). This machine has been a godsend - thank you so much for inventing it!
Best regards,
Marion Woodham,

All I can say is WOW! The Litter Robot surpassed my every expectation. Initially my 2 cats were very reluctant to go near the Litter Robot. Lo and behold after following the advice given in manual, within 3 days they were happily using the Litter Robot. One of the best decisions I’ve every made!!!

Hello, just wanted to let you know that I received my Litter Robot and my cat has started using it. My cat is a fully grown Persian cat female, about 7 years
old. My cat's been using it for about 2 weeks now and no major problems to report.
Comments:
1. When I received the box, I was surprised. The shipping box was huge! But once I took the Litter Robot out of the box and assembled it, it wasn't that big.
2. My cat started using it within 24 hours, didn't require much persuasion. But the sensor did not activate after my cat used it and had to adjust the sensor by rotating it twice. Now it works perfectly.
3. It's a little noisy for my taste but it's in another room so it doesn't bother me while I'm sleeping.
4. It appears to be solidly built. I had horrible experience with another litter box cleaner. They usually broke with less than a month of use. I'm hoping Litter Robot will last much longer than that. I'll give you a feedback later this year to see how this product is holding up.
Best Regards,

I love the Litter Robot!!! I have arthritis, and it makes my life so much easier. My cat was nervous about it at first, so I left it off until he had used it a few times. Once I turned it on, he was once again nervous, but seemed to get over the noise pretty quickly. Now, he actually likes to make it go, so he will use the box. Watch it do its thing, and then go right back in to make it happen again. He is obsessed with it. Usually, after the third time, he gets bored and moves on until the next time he needs to use it, and then the cycle starts all over. He cracks me up! Thanks for such a great invention!

I tried several other methods for our three cats once they migrated inside the house after years of using the great outdoors for their needs. Nothing worked well enough. No litter box was clean enough—the litter kept traces of the cats’ business and had to be entirely changed quite frequently in order to remain acceptable by my standards.
Then I found a site that described the litter robot and I decided to purchase one. What an ingenious machine! You have to see it work to believe it. I am amazed at how clean the litter has remained after nearly two weeks of use. All I need to do is add litter every once in a while. The box is close to being odorless, too. And I am so grateful that I can place a regular garbage bag in the drawer without having to worry about soiling my hands or spilling anything when I empty the drawer.
Our cats took to the box within a day. I didn’t need to coax them at all. It’s funny to watch how each cat uses it. I guess I never realized how very particular cats can be. They are definitely clean, and they deserve the cleanest, most efficient litter machine around.

I had been told by a friend that this "automatic" litter box really did work but didn't decide to try it for quite some time. I thought maybe my cats were too big or there were too many or they might not aim right once inside. But finally I broke down and bought one and we love it!! Cats do too.
We are a cattery and have had five females and several kittens using it on manual mode. Now that the kittens are leaving we will go to automatic mode. Although I have several other litter boxes they definitely used this one a lot and I'm now planning to get 2-3 more and replacing other boxes.

We just got our litter robot this month! Let me start out by saying, I've been the one on litter box duty for years now. No matter how fun I seem to try to convince my husband it is, he doesn't seem excited to change them? HAHAHA With 7 cats, and 3-4 standard boxes, it was quite a smelly chore. The temptation was always there though whenever I passed an automatic kitty box in PetSMart stores.. looked too good to be true....One day my husband Chris said to me while researching boxes on the net.. "hey honey, what color do you want on the screen? black or beige? to which I replied..."white." no, no he said.. "black or beige??" "fine, beige I guess.." I wasn't too impressed.. and went back to cleaning my house.. (housework never ends right??)
After our litter robot arrived (while I was at work), my husband (who had a day off) eagerly set it up...doing everything the manual said to do to introduce our kitties to it... they took to it immediately...my husband is so impressed and fascinated with this neat gadget, he now takes care of EVERYTHING!! I pretend I'm not mechanically inclined and don't know anything about his new toy yet... lol and I haven't touched litter since!!

ps. don't be surprised if our kitties order another one from your site!!

We bought your product because I have a cat that does not want to use a dirty box, and she sprays the hood of the litter box, so other automated litter boxes would not have worked for us. This was the perfect solution. This product is so easy to assemble and operate and is very well built. There was certainly a lot of thought that went into the design of this product. We love it
The moment we set it up the first of our three cats entered and had no problem figuring out what to do. If fact, it is not only a litter box, it is a source of constant amusement. As soon as it cycles, they gather to watch. For the first few weeks one of the cats stopped the unit continuously as it proceeded through the cycle by stepping on the entry step and peering inside. Then I added a small step stool in front of it and now she sits on the stool to watch the inside and does interrupt the cleaning cycle.
We would like to see a larger unit for the longer cat. We have a very long cat that has to go through quite a contortion to use it. Despite that, she loves it!

I can't say enough good things about the Litter-Robot. I adopted a 10 year old, 19-lbs cat and was a little concerned that he might not want to use it (something new and it made sounds), or that he was going to be a little too large to use it. I set it up in the same location that his old [covered] litter box had been and mixed a little of his old/used litter with a newer brand of kitty litter. I started the cycle to get everything properly sifted and aligned. I then went about my evening as if nothing had changed. I did notice a little bit of curiosity on the cats part, so I started the "cycle" so he could see it and hear it while I was there with him. A few hours later while the cat was sitting on my lap, I heard a strange noise and noticed that the Litter-Robot had come to life. Ahhh, the sweet sound of success.
I travel occasionally for work and prior to this purchase I noticed how quickly the standard litter box had filled up and how unwilling the cat was to use it if there was not a clean area to “GO…” With the Litter-Robot, the good is separated from the bad and the cat is happy, I am happy and clean up is a breeze. I use inexpensive trash bags to line the drawer and when it is time to empty, I just turn them inside out and take them outside to the trash. When the cycle starts, the noise is minimal and barely noticeable in my small 1 bedroom apartment.
After reading so many helpful automated litter box reviews on Amazon, I was pleased to find information about the Litter-Robot™ that guided me towards a purchase.

I bought the Litter-Robot a few months ago for my 2 Birmans. I had no trouble getting them to use it. As I expected, the adult male was the first to use it as he is more adventurous than his mother. But a few days after he used it, I saw her use it and out went the litter box. There has been no trouble with it ever since.
Zen, the male cat, finds the device fascinating. He watches the cycle with total attention. He has learned that if he puts his paws on the sensor during the cycle it stops andd if he takes them off it continues. So every once and a while we have a 5 minute cycle. It doesn’t harm the machine and it makes Zen happy.
I should mention that these are fairly large cats. Zen is 15 pounds and fairly long, but he has no trouble using the Litter-Robot. It certainly makes me happy, as bending over to scoop litter is difficult for me. Pulling out the drawer every 5-6 days is a lot easier.
Highly recommended.

Can I be thrilled with a product only after a week of use? I have three cats and two dogs who have a peculiar taste for the contents of the litter box. Needless to say, trying to find a location for the boxes that only the cats can access, while maintaining sanitary conditions in the house, has been a challenge.
Enter the Litter Robot. I was stunned at how easy it was to put together, but I pulled the first litter “bag” out by mistake, thinking it was packing. It went back in easily, and we were good to go. After setting it up the evening it arrived, the first cat used it within an hour, and the second early the following morning. Their curiosity really did it – they couldn’t wait to get in the thing!
I cycled it myself for a couple of days, turning it on and off in front of the cats so they wouldn’t be startled by it when it ran. Upon leaving it plugged in, however, it seemed that it cycled extremely frequently. Coincidentally, the dogs would disappear for a while, then sneak into their beds, back and forth all evening, with the LR going off every seven minutes! The cats were nowhere in sight. I went into the laundry room to see what might be going on. You guessed it -- the dogs were triggering the globe, looking for a snack! I’d rather have the thing run a few extra times than deal with the dogs’ bad eating habits.
I will be ordering a second unit. My third cat stays in another part of the house, and will be getting her own for her birthday. I rave about your product to all my cat-owning friends – especially the ones who initially told me about it, but were reluctant to buy one themselves!
I’m still so surprised that such an unusual product solves the cat litter problem so elegantly! I wish your business every success.

I received my Litter Robot the day before Christmas. I wondered what I was getting into when the BIG box arrived - but assembly was a breeze and the cats were curious.
Our black cat Edward took to it right away. In fact, he is mesmerized by it - watching it go around, and stepping on the step to stop it when he wants a closer look inside - kitty entertainment. We have one Birman that doesn't trust it yet, and is still using the box - but he was traumatized by the Litter Maid and may never get over it. (Litter Maid was one of the worst investments I ever made!!)
The other two Birmans are experimenting, and I think they like it. No more spraying over the edge of the box, and no smell. I love the convenience of the drawer. Why didn't I buy one of these before! It is great!

This is the fourth automatic litter box I have tried. I am on a limited income but love my cat. So I tried others first because of the price. It was a waste of money.
I PROMISE YOU, I have had this litter box for almost 2 years now, and it is absolutely the BEST thing that will ever happen to you and your cat.
I am retired, brought my cat with me, and live in Cancun, MX. Shipping here is difficult. Receiving any shipping, other than FedEx, is doubtful. It is either takes over a month, is lost or stolen. The company was new and not willing to ship directly to me. So I had it shipped to my daughter in San Francisco, and she brought it on the plane to visit me. I would have preferred that the company agreed to my request to ship it to me by FedEx. Perhaps they now do that. My daughter bringing it on the plane from San Francisco was not the best move I ever made, but she has forgiven me!
I can absolutely 100% guarantee that this will make the life of you and your cat better than you EVER imagined. Yes, it is a bit expensive, but not more expensive than trying all of the cheaper brands first! And how does price compare to you and your cat being happy? I can go back to the USA to visit my kids for over a month at a time, and my maid only checks to see if my honey has food and water, and NEVER has to change the litter! I find NO DUST and absolutely NO SMELL. It is the best automatic cat litter box on the market!

Greetings,
I ordered the Litter Robot before Christmas and I am very glad I did. I was a little bit concerned about the price, but I can say it is worth every penny! I have 4 cats and my bathroom never smells anymore.
I was also worried that my cats would be scared of it because 3 of them were wild that I brought inside. But I can say they used it right a way no problem.
I also want to pass on 2 tips I use the scented trash bags that I found at the local dollar store to make the soiled litter smell a little better. I also use Filter Fresh Whole Home Air Freshener filter pads that you use for your home filters in the garbage bag area to make it smell good too.
Thanks so much ,

I received my litter robot on the second of January 2008. My 2 cats were there as I unpacked their new gift. Ernie is a black 8 month old pound kitty and Sweeney is a 7 week old fluff ball. You could not ask for sweeter well behaved felines. Ernie ( named after Sesame Street) sleeps with our 2 year old and guards our 8 month old. Sweeney has the same disposition.
I felt they deserve the best. What more could I give these great felines? I know —the litter robot.
At the time I had the mega litter maid. I had it for 4 years. It was nice but such a pain to replace the poop cans and the maintenance was NOT fun. Once a month I cleaned this thing out and sprayed the whole thing with vegetable oil to keep the parts moving. Yet the rack would still jam on a big load, be in pee or poo. The only reason mine lasted that long was the care I gave it, which in my opinion is not self cleaning.
So after long research I found the litter robot. I put it together and I swear both my cats were in it within the first few seconds of the initial cycle. I used some old litter with new but I think they were just into the privacy of the dome. Since I have been an electric litter box consumer for many years I have to say I have never been more excited by this product.
Thanks so much,
Autumn, Ernie and Sweeney

The Best Christmas Gift!
I bought the litter robot as a Christmas gift to myself and love it. It seemed pricey so I purchased a reconditioned unit and my cat took to it as soon as I set it up. I also received the unit very quickly after ordering. This strange looking, yet wonderfully working machine makes litter clean up as effortless as possible.
I highly recommend this product to anyone in search of easing the litter box burden. Also, adding an small open box Arm & Hammer Fridge and Freezer Odor Absorber to the collection bin completely eliminates any smell.
Thank you Litter Robot for such an amazing product.

I’ve been using the litter robot for a few years now. The new one is MUCH improved over the earlier model. It’s lighter and has a larger “waste bin”. My 3 year old cat Sushi (a ragdoll) thinks the litter robot is a personal sandbox and just spends a lot of time playing in it as well as doing his business. I told Shirley I would try to send a pic but I’ve never been able to catch him facing FORWARD in time to snap the picture.
Sushi thanks you for making such a great product!!!

My wife and I have 4 cats. Before owning the Litter Robot we owned 2 litter maid litter boxes, and only the older one with the plastic rakes could keep up with the 4 cats some of the time. But the cost of the plastic containers that the waste gets scooped into plus the amount of litter we would go through was getting out of control.
We debated and researched the Litter Robot for about 8 months, because we just couldnt convince ourselves that any litter box was worth paying 300.00 for.
After having the Litter Robot for about 7 months now we love it. Not only can it handle all 4 of our cats, but we are using so much less litter then ever before. There are 2 great things about the Litter Robot, 1) there are no special bags or containers you have to purchase and 2) It works great.
Yes 300.00 is a lot to spend on a litter box, but after owning a Litter Robot for several months now, I would easily pay more for one (but please dont raise the price).
Thank you for a product that works extremely well. This customer will be getting another one this year for our downstairs. Not that we need one but we spoil the cats?
Have a Happy and Safe New Year to all who work for Litter Robot.
Thank you,

We received a litter robot towards the end of October. It was to replace a Litter "Old Maid" that had not outlived its usefulness but was only a month old. I call does all ! How does this litter robot thing work? Easy she says. Litter and clumps are separated when the unit turns and clumps are dumped into the draw and it then revolves back into position.
Happy days are here again. . We have 3 of the six cats now using it. Perhaps after the holidays we can get the other three such a present. No fuss, no muss, and NOTHING MISSING THE TRAY !!! This has been the best purchase since my last amateur radio antenna. I was astounded at one little (?) kitty I call "His Highness." Markings indicate at least part Ossie cat. He was the first one to use it and came out with his head held high.
So far, I am proud to say, I am not sorry for this purchase. Clean out is easy, replacing litter is easy, and so is saying Get to the Robot dukes. I had just one little problem soon to be solved. This was placed on a hardwood floor and caused elevation in the noise factor. I am planning to get a one inch thick piece of foam rubber as a sound absorber and it should be fine. Summation - best litter picker upper on the market.

I ordered the Litter Robot after going through three messy, smelly, sticky
Litter Maids. We have had it for two weeks now, and I have to say this is
worth the money! We went cold turkey, took out the Litter Maid and put in
the Litter Robot, and our cats, (five of them!), went right in and have been
using it ever since.
No expensive receptacles! No scooping! No sticking! No smell! No mess! WOW!

The Litter Robot II is a very sturdy and well made product. It is one of those products that make you scratch your head and say "Why didn't I think of that"?
We have had the LRII for only 6 days now. We put it to the test by having our two felines quit their regular litter box Cold Turkey! To our surprise they went right to the LRII without any qualms. No coaxing. No tricks except we put about a 1/2 cup of old litter in to get a familiar scent to the box as suggested in the LRII owner’s manual.
Is the motor quiet? You bet! The noise of the LRII is no more than a minimal hum at best. To us, it is music to our ears. We live in a small house and the only living beings in the house that hear it kick in are the cats. They scramble to it and sit in front to watch it tumble, kind of like people standing at a window downtown watching television displays on a big game day. Within four days it became old hat and they now go about their business after doing "their business".
I can't speak highly enough of the LRII. In just 6 days we can see the money savings. In 6 days, after the initial set up of 9 pounds of litter, we have added only 5 coffee mugs of litter to the batch. Every other day we sprinkle a bit of Arm & Hammer baking soda in and pull it just below the surface of the litter and then, NO ODORS. Litter is not wasted over a huge surface area due to the contour inside of the LRII. Be honest with yourself. You know that you are throwing out more litter than is being used doing it the old way. The LRII wastes no litter whatsoever.
Sprinkling a couple of tablespoons of A & H in the new bag after changing the soiled bag controls the odor as well. I have a very sensitive sense of smell and the odor is actually less than with a regular litter box and most of the time it is non-existent. With two active cats we have found that every three days (72 hours) is the safe limit for changing the litter bag. We could possibly push it and go 5 days in an emergency but we have not had the LRII long enough to vouch for that.
We did a LOT of investigating before making this purchase and hands down, research paid off. And with such a great money back guarantee like the LRII, what's to lose? Nobody and I mean NOBODY has this kind of satisfaction guarantee except for Costco.
We read review after review after review and the most negative thing we found was that some cats tend to urinate over the edge and into the outside tray. Well, that was easy to figure out. Follow the instructions and keep the litter at the two inch below or lower level at the entrance. If you overfill the cat stands too high and of course they are then standing over the edge of the portal at that moment in the event they don’t turn around. It's like putting a tyke at a urinal and expecting him to hit the urinal on the inside when he stands a foot under the urinal. We have one cat that spins around inside and the other just steps in and we can see that the height of the litter is an important factor toward satisfaction of this product. FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS. The folks at LR know what they are talking about.
Seriously, If you are looking for a litter box and not just "any litter box", the LRII is the one to purchase. Besides, if you or your kitties are not happy, you get your money back. It's that simple. You won't be sorry.
And NO, my wife and I are not being paid to say anything in this testimonial. We don’t want to oversell this fine product but it truly is a fantastic piece of workmanship and well thought out.

This is, by far, the best litter box ever! Easy set-up; Low litter usage; No smell. We'd been through two Litter-maids before giving up on them. Too many times the rakes had to be cleaned and the last one quit working within 2 months of purchase. We chose not to even return it....We didn't want another one...even if it was new. However, the Litter-robot works perfectly, and, as an added bonus (to your wallet), there's no special bags to buy...just use whatever bag you have available around the house. We're as happy as our cats are!

The Litter Robot arrived 2 days ago. It was shipped promptly and arrived in perfect condition.
I have been waffling about this purchase for about two years. I'm so tired of scooping, but to spend so much for an alternative seemed crazy.
Good news... Easy set up. Well written manual. It fit perfectly in the space of my old covered litter box. Both cats went in and sniffed.
More good news... Second day both cats had pooped and peed in it. I have now removed the old litter box. This seems premature, but I have confidence.
I did a manual cycle and I'm so amazed by the clever design. If you watch it do its thing you can appreciate the genius of this product. My hat is off to the LR folks.
Thanks,
John

We have had our litter robot since Sept. 06 and are thrilled with it. I only had one cat when we bought it, now I have three because of it. We got the second cat at the end of Sept and he was only 2lbs and had no problem using it. He was to little to trigger it, but that was okay. Now I just go the third cat in Sept this year and she was small like the second and had no problem using the litter robot. It is the best litter box I have found. And if your wondering about the price don't, because the time it will save you in clean up is well worth the price. And by the time I returned all the stuff with the old litter box (bags, tent, litter, ect..) it was well over the price they want for this unit anyway. Please be advised your cats will love it and be very curious about and you won't mind the clean up. Thanks Litter Robot.

I just wanted to take a moment to let you know how pleased I am with your product. I have 4 cats and scooping multiple litter boxes was a daily chore, I was wasting tons of litter and my cats were not very happy. After I began using the Litter Robot I was amazed how well it worked, so much so that I kept forgetting about it! For anyone who is considering purchasing any type of automatic litter box, here here are the reasons you should by the Litter
Robot:
Much quieter than any other automatic litter box, you can hardly even hear it! Never jams!!!! no parts to constantly clean and unclog! Saves a ton of money in litter and supplies. practically pays for its self if you have a multi cat household. I am down to emptying a try every 2-3 weeks instead of scooping every other day! A huge time saver Absolutely worth the price!!!
The only feature I would add is a level so that you can see if it is sitting correctly. I have it in my basement, and the only time that I have had to reset it is if I had placed it on a surface that was not even. Once I found a nice level area, I have never had an issue.

It has been a month and though I had my doubts, I am still thrilled with robot. I have two cats, one very large main coon, and wasn't sure if he would be able to use robot when I saw the size of the opening to access the litter. Wrong, he figured it out quickly, and now puts his rather large rear end to the back and sticks his head out the front. The convenience is what I was looking for. Whenever I went away for the weekend, I would have to ask someone to come in and clean the litter box EVERYDAY. Now it only has to be done every third day. I did find that the 13 gal bags work better, the 8 gal are really too tight and harder to get in place, not to mention the 13 gal bags are cheaper due to their popularity. Would I recommend Litter Robot, you bet and have to many of my friends, the price is the only thing holding them back, but for me, it was worth every penny.

I have four cats and have used the Littermaid for the last 10 years. It is a good product, but have had to replace it about once every other year.
I received the Litter-Robot a month ago and so far really like it. It did take the cats about 2 weeks to get used to it. Love the bag system and even with the 4 cats, don't have to empty it as often. The odor problem has also been eliminated.
Thank You.

I have had tried several types of litter boxes, including the LitterMaid. I was not happy. With 6 cats, I have been looking for a product that works. Before I purchased the LitterRobot, I was looking at a different litter box that was in the same price range, I purchased based on the reviews that I read on the internet. The positive reviews on LitterRobot are all true! This product has made things so much easier for me! One of my kitties is one of those that is picky about only going into a clean litter box.......Litter Robot is the best. It took very little time to get my kitties adjusted to it. It was a bit difficult to find a location to place the Litter Robot because of its size, but that is so minor compared to how much easier it has made litter box cleaning.
Thank you for creating such a fantastic product!

Hello Litter Robot,
There's nothing in the world more wonderful than a good idea that actually makes it to the market. This is the most incredible machine I've ever seen for the dreaded kitty problem. Kudos to your engineer(s) who came up with this. I love the fact that it's nice and quiet and kitty safe. The fact that it shuts off when pressure is put on the front step is remarkable. My girlfriend just adopted 3 kittens from the local PetCo here in Long Beach, CA and she's just ecstatic with this product.
Congratulations on making life that much easier for cat devotees. I hope you put the competition out of business for good, since this is by far the best product on the planet for our lovely felines.
Best regards,

I have had 3 different Litter Maids over the years and and they have continually gotten worse in quality. I was so fed up with them! Then I read a review on Amazon.com about the LitterRobot. I went to your site and read the testimonials and decided to try it since it had such a good return policy. I love this litter box. It did not take long to get my cats to go in it and they seem to like it a lot. There is absolutely no mess at all! How refreshing! A litter box that works! AND I don't have to buy those expensive, polluting receptacles. I only have to change the bag once a week with two cats. Thank you for inventing a great product. I am telling all my friends with cats about this.

I purchased my Litter Robot 1 year ago and it has worked great. I have 3 cat's that use it, though it took some getting used too. I have used Littler Maid's in the past and the last one I bought failed after a few months so I decided to try the Litter Robot. I recommend this item - even though it cost more - it works great and I hope to get many years of service from it.

I just wanted to say that I love my Litter-robot. I treat my cats as if they were my kids, and so I try to give them the best that I can afford. I have 5 cats, yes 5 cats, and I got tired of always having to clean the litter boxes because it can be a tiring job, and the only reason why I put up with is because I love them.
Long before I purchased the LItter-robot, I went though two Littermaids. At first they were great, but then I learned that cleaning rake was just as bad as cleaning the cat boxes. At times the littermaid would not complete it job because the moter seemed to be to weak to handle the large clumps of cat litter. Eventually I just tired of dealing with them and I tossed them in the trash.
After a few years of cleaning the cat boxes the old fashion way, and decided to check out the new crop of automatic cat litter boxes, and after reading several reviews, I decided that LItter-robot was the best solution for me. When I went through the reviews, and cat forums, Litter-robot had the most positive feedback, and very litte drawbacks.
When I first got the Litter-robot I placed it in very familiar territory, I placed litter in it, plugged it, and than turned it off. I placed each of my cats in the Litter-robot, and than left them alone. For about 5 days, I would just run it once in the morning and than once in the afternoon. When I completed my trial run, I would than set it up automatically, and it has worked perfectly. I think that my cats had easy time adjusting to it because they also have used litter boxes with hoods. I seriously recommend the Litter-robot over any other automatic cat litter box!

This is an amazing machine. I have two cats and they took to the Litter Robot instantly. In fact, the baby (he’s a year old) was so fascinated he kept going into it and triggering it. He would then sit outside it and watch it go through the cycle. It was pretty funny.
The litter robot works just like it promises and it is simple to assemble. I LOVE it and recommend it to anyone who is interested in hearing about cat litter boxes.

I have several cats because my son brought home 2 pregnant strays. I got them all fixed and for their safety and so they don't bother the neighbors I never let them outside. Without the Litter Robots I would be cleaning litterboxes all day. I keep one in the laundry room, one in the living room (makes an interesting conversational piece) and I'm soon buying a 3rd for our new attatched greenhouse we built for the cats so they can safely go outside. We love them because they don't require us to keep buying anything from the company afterward. I just buy my usual corncob clumping litter from the feed and farm store and it's all good. Their easy to hose down and we just empty the collection drawers 3 times a week. We even recently took one in our motorhome when we moved and the cats didn't mind traveling at all since they had their litter box with them, made the move much easier.
Thanks so much,

The Litter Robot is AMAZING! After already going through three (yes three) Litter Maids in one year I was sceptical about buying another automatic cat box. We have four indoor cats that HAVE to have a clean cat box or they will show their dissatisfaction by soiling outside of the box! Well I am happy to say that the Litter Robot has outdone itself in more ways than one. The cats took to it immediately. There is no mess. I have to change the collection bag out every few days, but it takes all of 30 seconds to pull the bag out and replace it with a new one. The litter always looks as though I just changed it. We use to go through 30 pounds of litter every two weeks. Now we are on the same 40 pound bucket we bought at the beginning of September. The best part of all.....there is NO litter box odor! I love this cat box so much and I will be a faithful customer for life!
Sincerely,
Kim

I purchased my Litter Robot about 3 years ago. I recently had a small mishap when I got to close to the power cord with the vacuum. It snapped it off at the transformer. I called Customer Care and had a new one sent out at no charge the next day. This is above and beyond what I expected. Thank you Litter Robot crew. If this one ever goes out, I will order a new one that same day. I really can't believe that it has lasted this long!!!

Dear Litter-Roboticists,
I bit the bullet and bought Litter-Robot. It arrived in a box that would barely fit through our front door. Getting it OUT of the box was an adventure, our two cats were all over it before I could even cut the tape, turn it on its side and begin working the contents out in the back hall.
It would BARELY fit under the vanity shelf in this little apartment's bathroom, where their other sandbox was, so I put it in the shower section of the bathroom, filled it with the requisite 9 pounds or so of cat sand and left it sitting there. Forgot to turn it off. HUGE mistake.
Nutsie (Almond Nut, our miss NutterButter) is barely 6 pounds, little grey stripey barn cat. Whipped up the step, poked her head in there, saw that smooth litter, clambered in, rooted for a sec, did her business, and lightly popped out. Continued to sniff and walk all the way around the machine, then froze on point, when it began to rotate and do it's "sift and dump" schtick. FASCINATED, the minute it stopped moving, she climbed back into it, sniffed around then clambered out and parked in front of it. Nine minutes later it did it's schtick again and for the rest of the day, she was in and out of the LR like a kid with a new toy. "Do it again!" Easily amused.
However, Rocky saw and heard it moving and ran clear through the apartment and hid under the table yowling. Gray on white rescue tuxedo cat who grew and grew and grew and grew and ended up to be about 17 to 18 pounds, rangy, shirt-sucking momma's boy. I turned machine off. He refused to use it. I sprayed catnip around it. He refused to even come into the bathroom and use his OLD litter box. This went on for a week, with him creeping in at night to use it and with me turning the LR on only twice a day to cycle through Nutsie's deposits. I began putting Rocky in the port and nudging his entry by pushing his bottom. He'd yowl, go in, turn around, and shoot out the entry wild-eyed, ears back, spraying cat sand by the quarter cup, his paws and claws were splayed so wide for traction and escape. I continued to put him in there every time *I* used the bathroom.
I stopped scooping the litter in the old sandbox. Finally, Rocky began to use the Litter-Robot, yowling and shaking the entire time, spraying cat sand clambering in and spraying it clambering out -- but he used it. I emptied the old box, washed it and put it on the porch. I moved Black Bot as we call our Litter-Robot under the vanity overhang in my bathroom.
Finally, after about 2 weeks, Rocky quit spraying sand. I began leaving Black Bot on all the time, and another couple of weeks from that, he quit yowling.
I got Black Bot because of Rocky, not Nutter. I thought for a while, "Geeze, we're gonna be out 75 bucks on this and months of hassle."
We rescued Rocky when he was maybe 3 months old, thinking by his size he was 8 or 9 months old. He had an injured forepaw from trying to NURSE a feral tom. He was hungry, and hunger made him fearless. Emergency surgery (expensive) and a drain in his forepaw, bath shots, neutering etc., later, vet tells us from his Xrays he's only 4 months or so old and from his behavior during his 3 day stay with them, he was trying to nurse ANY animal or human he got near, dogs, cats, towels, T shirts. Rocky's 6-1/2 now. We got him on August 29, 2001. While rail thin, gaunt, he was so long, the vet had assumed right along with us that he was mostly grown, just starving. He was starving, but he was still very much a kitten. He's always had a particularly sensitive stomach. If the sandbox is not pristine, not just emptied of waste balls but fresh from the container, he'll start throwing up anything he eats. Sensitive stomach diet isn't enough. It's his being thrown away before he was weaned and his eating anything he could find and rowfing more than half of that. ANY bacteria in the cat sand and he rowfs.
Rocky is also larger than you good folks at Litter-Robot recommend and we'd had an oversized sandbox with a hood prior to purchasing Black Bot. I took the chance because I've spend hundreds of dollars testing Rocky for allergies to various cat foods and he has none. However, he gets upset tummies easily if he ingests bacteria and licking his paws and coat after sandboxing, even from a regularly scooped sandbox where the clods sat even for a few HOURS in the sandbox, he was throwing up. He's groomed by me daily with a flea comb to remove ANY hair, so he's not ingesting fur, even during the two periods a year when cats shed most of their coats and undercoats. He's a cat calender beauty and could care less. His and Nutsie's water and food bowls are run through the dishwasher daily, their water is filtered and their food is purchased in small quantities and stored cool and dry. They don't eat garbage, have no allergies, get daily groomings, even get their teeth brushed once a week. <G>
Rocky's a big boy. His littering is in two steps. He climbs in carefully, does his business, climbs out carefuly. He pokes his head in, sees where his business is, uses one of his forepaws from outside Black Bot to bury the business he's done, because he's so big he can't turn to see to bury his mess without risking stepping in it and he won't do that.
We're down to only an occasional rowf. I consider that to be because of Black Bot.
Thank you Litter-Robot. You entertain one cat and keep both our cats healthy, and you save me time cleaning up cat rowf and spot shampooing the carpet. Tell y'all what, though. If you come up with a larger prototype, I'd LOVE for Rocky to be a beta tester. Just think of all those Main coon cat owners who'd love for their babies to be able to use Litter-Robot!

I love the litter robot. I have the first generation. I would like to ask the designers to improve on door opening. I say that because my two cats throw out a lot litter when their using it. I end up cleaning around the litter box from what they throw out. That would be a great improvement.
Thanks.

We have four cats in our household, one of which weighs 18 lbs. We have used Litter Robot for the past three years. In July we purchased a second unit to go with the older model we already had.
The updates incorporated in the new model are wonderful. We haven't had a moments problem with it getting stuck in the middle of a cycle as with the old model, and the increased size of the drawer is a welcomed improvement also.
The cats have voted.....they prefer the new model to the old. They use the new one 90% of the time. They go a lot so we're definitely a two robot household!
Since we and the cats are so pleased with the new improved Litter Robot we have decided to purchase another unit to replace the old model.

I have had my cats for about 3 years, and I can't tell you all the messes that I had to clean up when I had a regular litter box. I was actually thinking about not having any more cats in future years... but I really love cats and I were not going to give up so easily, I made my web search and found the litter robot and I made the decision of purchase it... the problem was that I was living in Mexico... and APCP.Inc were not sending it to Mexico... I was very sad...
Somehow I got blessed, and now I am living in Dallas. The first thing I did when I got here was getting the Litter Robot. One of my two cats had no problem using it, but the other one was not using it, I was devastated, but there was a very good step by step manual with the litter robot to get my cat used to it. Now both are using it with no problem. And I am only cleaning it on the weekends, and I can clean it just in 30 secs. or less, no joke I counted the time. When I had a regular box, it took me about 5-10 min. every 2 days. that is 17.5 to 35 min. every week, versus the 30 secs per week with the litter robot. In a year you are saving 15 to 30 hrs. If you value your time, this is worth it.
Plus the time that I have saved, now I spend less money in cat-litter because the system in the litter robot makes the most out of the cat-litter.

Ok, I did my homework before buying this one. I looked at all of the self-cleaning litterboxes on the market and of them all, this one got the best reviews.
It took little time for my cat to acclimate to the Litter Robot. (which surprised me because she is skittish.) I did use the suggestions in the manual. Several cat treats later, she used it. (thank God, beacause in my disgust I threw out the original catbox.) I'm grateful it was easy to put together and the manual is really easy to follow (good for me, the techno-idiot). It's also a lot quieter than I expected I can actually sleep through the cycling.
The discripton said you can use regular 8-20 gal trash bags for the bin, but I'm using the left over litter-liners (which don't freaking work with a cat that has all of her claws, sorry ranting) They are working just as well, I do agree with the customer who said that they should have added another grommet in the front to hold the bag, but it shouldn't be a deal breaker.
Also, I got the one in black, which yes it looks cool but it's difficult to see the different parts inside which I think might be more useful in cleaning it. For that reason I do regret not getting the white one.
I haven't had it that long so as far as longevity I can't comment on it, but if it breaks down I will definitly use the 18 month warranty.
The only thing that bothered me was the price tag, I have never spent $300 on a pet (vet excluded) so that was a tough pill to swallow.
Still, I think that since it really works and I don't have to scoop nasty, stinky cat poop anymore that it's some of the BEST money I ever spent.
An Update:
I've had this for a few months now and it works beautifully, I've noticed that my kitty can throw a lot more litter than before because it's so shallow inside, but I can live with it and now keep a little broom & dust pan next to it (it still beats scooping cat poop).
I find it hilarious that the second it starts to rotate she takes off like a bat to watch it.
I worried that I would have buyers remorse because it's so expensive but my cat seems happier to me with a constantly clean litter. (I aways forgot to clean the old one) so I still think that this was a great buy

This is the best automatic litter box available. I used the Litter Maid for years and had to replace it 3 times is 4 years because of problems. I've had the Litter Robot for 1-1/2 years now and it works as great as the day I received it.

I have owned my Litter Robot for 3 months now. It is the best money I ever spent, and I tell you being a student, I know money can be tight, but I'd buy this again in a heart beat. My house has never smelled better and my cats would take the robot over me any day. They love the robot as much as I do. 2 weeks ago it stopped working for some reason so I sent an e-mail to the customer care dept. They were so nice and helped me fix the problem. (turns out I didn't have my sensor ajusted correctly for my cats, all it took was a turn of a knob to fix. How's that for easy) It was funny to watch my cats for those couple days. They were actually sad that I turned it off. My one cat kept leading me to the Robot as if to say "turn it back on" They ran to it as soon as I did and both had to inspect it to make sure I didn't hurt they're litter friend. So once again I say, This thing rocks my world.
Thanks SO much for making this product

Thank you soooooooo much for such a wonderful product!
My cat got used to it pretty fast. I just used a small amount of her used litter crystals.. and she, after wondering for a while about that monster booda, went in and does so since.
There was only one "fault," or say "can be improved aspect" of the Litter Robot.
My cat happens to be a looong body cat. She'd go in and do her business, but her rear would be "hanging outside" and so she'd do it all outside! I was getting, to say the least, frustrated. I also emailed the Litter Robot about how to improve the product, to simply extend it lengthwise...like a tunnel/ an olive shape.
They advised me to hang some quarters on it; cats apparently don't like the feel of it on theirs booteis.
That, unfortunatelly, didn't bother my Fizzy at all, and she continued to "hang on the outside."
BUT! Then I came up with a brilliant idea! I say brilliant, because it finally worked! I tilted it slightly!
I had put something underneath the front, like a plastic box (approxi. 3 inches tall) , and so now, when she goes in, it forces her to go "deeper in." It solved my dilemma, and I have absolutelly nothing but the best things to say about Litter Robot! Thumbs up!

Purchased the Litter Robot about ten months ago. I am so pleased with your product, it's money well spent because you use less litter and no more replacing other automatic litter boxes which was a waste. There is nothing that can compare to your product, it's trouble free and clean! With only one cat (really big) I was a bit apprehensive but no trouble at all! I left the old box nearby and didn't change the litter to encourage her to use the Litter Robot. Within a couple of days she was using the Litter Robot totally! Thank you for a wonderful product, it's the best.

We used to have a Littermaid, but it was a hassle to have to replace the waste container so often, and the rake was very inefficient. While I was visiting my sister, my husband became very frustrated with litter box duties.
After we both read about it and discussed it, we decided to try it, and I ordered one. When we set it up our older cat took to it right away. Our Siamese was afraid of it at first, but accepted it after he was allowed to approach it on his own terms.
Both of them use it faithfully now. I haven't had to use the scoop or put out a litter box for two months now. It's so clean and nice for the cats! We give this product our highest recommendation!

It wasn’t without much angst that I made the leap and paid over $300 for a litter box . . . a litter box! But we have had the Litter Robot for over a year and have had absolutely not regrets. There is not a month that goes by that I don’t tell my husband that I need to write you and give you all of our thanks! The litter box is cleanest our cats have ever known, therefore the cats are happier and we are much happier with the cats!
We have 2 fairly large (>10 lbs) that are over 10 years old. They both adapted painlessly however we still don’t leave the box on automatic. One of the two is quite the scaredy cat, he’s afraid of everything and after two episodes of reaction or retribution for having seen the box rotate we decided we were all better off just running the box 2 -3 times a day. Not optimum but safe!
We use Arm & Hammer clumping litter and cheap commercial trash bags from Office Depot (1 box has latest as long as we have had the box). We empty the drawer about 3 times a week and clean the whole unit about once a month. The only improvement I would make would be to add a bag holder to the front of the drawer so that more of the litter from the step goes into the bag; not a big issue at all though.
Thank you again! You saved our sanity!

I received my Litter Robot and put it together on Sunday. Within 10 minutes of having it together, all three of my cats enjoyed using it. This is the best purchase I have made in YEARS. I bought an automatic litter box three years ago and within 2 days the rake was off the track and it was finished. I thought that I was doomed to scooping until I found this product online. We are amazed. As soon as I am in a bigger space, I am ordering another Litter Robot. It is intriguing for all of us to watch and such a joy this morning to simply get up, open a drawer and close up a bag for disposal. No more nasty scoop, no more emptying clumpy litter. I am sincerely grateful and thank you so much for this wonderful invention.

I had tried numerous litter boxes for my cats, unable to find a good one. I tried electric litterboxes by littermaid, 3 of those broke so I returned the last of them and looked to find something else. I stumbled upon the Cat Genie, which is a Cat "toilet" that utilizes electricity, a waterline and a drain pipe. This worked well for awhile, but not even 2 months later, it encountered a clog and the basin filled with water....which obviously is a problem for my cats Kylie and Cody. I was then told about the Litter Robot. I was a little uneasy with it at first because my cat Cody weighs in at 20 pounds!! However, I read the testimonials and saw that there are numerous people who have large cats who use the litter robot with no problem. I decided to give it a try. Kylie started using it right away, but Cody had a hard time. As much as I didn't clean the other litter box...he kept using it. He even bit Kylie as he saw her going into the Litter-Robot....most likely unsure of her safety or what the litter robot was!! Not even a day later...I saw him investigating it....and then finally used it 4 days after the litter-robot was put in place. Now both cats use it and I LOVE IT! Both cats also seem to enjoy watching the litter-robot as it cleans...whenever they hear the sound they run over!
Thank you litter-robot for a great product!!!

Oh my goodness! Where have you been all my life!!!!!!!!! I LOVE the Litter-Robot! I have had a litter mate that broke down and I got a replacement and it broke down. Frustrated I started looking on-line and came across your website. I must admit I was hesitant but with 3 cats I needed some help. I have had my Litter-Robot for over a month now and it has been wonderful. It is pretty much maintains free. I clean it and add litter every 4 days with 3 cats it is amazing. No more scooping! I have not picked up a scooper since I received my machine. It is the cleanest litter box I have ever had. Thank you so much for this product!

We have tried all the other automatic litter boxes with little to no success. The rakes clog and are very difficult to clean. Several of the most “famous” auto boxes don’t even work. When we saw an add for the Litter-Robot, we were skeptical. But after reading the testimonials and checking on several discussion groups, we decided to give it a try.
First of all: it doesn’t take up as much space as many people claim. Considering that all the litter stays in the box all the time you don’t need several square feet of border to catch spillage.
Our cat took to the box immediately. He has continued to use it in preference to an emergency box we keep upstairs. The Litter-Robot is in the finished basement of our house. Sometimes we forget and close the basement door – thus the emergency box upstairs. My guess is that the cat likes the nice clean litter he finds in the Litter-Robot every time he ventures in.
Though I haven’t seen the claim made in any of the Litter-Robot’s advertising; we have cut our litter usage in half. With the box clearing it after every “occasion” by the cat, the litter stays in great shape for a week or more at a time.
Finally, our litter box odor has gone away completely. My wife dumps the collection drawer each night right before bed time. That is sufficient to keep all odors away.
Oh! And we just ordered a second Litter-Robot for the upstairs emergency box.

I Just wanted to say how much I LOVE the litter robot!!! As soon as we set it up, our 3 cats were very curious and didn't have a problem hopping right in!! Its definitely made our lives easier, just empty the tray everyday and you're done!! I don't know how I managed with the old litter boxes....this is the greatest product that's come around in a long time! My cats and I thank you!!!

We have collected a total of about 10 cats, in resent years, my mother became diabetic and lost a limb and is now blind. Cleaning the litter box became my job, we have since lost several of the cats to old age and ailments, but when you have many cats, cleaning the litter box becomes a chore which you loath, the smell, being around it etc--but you love your cats and you press through it. I've purchased automated litter box after litter box aka litter maids and they generally always jammed with clumped up cat urine. So I switched to manual sifting litter boxes, they were easier to handle than the large sand boxes that we used to have. After a while, now having 6 cats, the litter boxes 4 total were filling up about every 4 days or so, and i'd have to dump them, and occasionally dump all the litter in them. Got fed up with it because of my allergies, and looked long and hard for something better. I found the Litter Robot which resembles a cement mixer. Whoda thunk it eh ? So now we have 5 cats, lost one from breast cancer. But anyways, after we got the box before mothers day, I set it up, the cats didn't take to it at first, took me about 1 month to get all but 1 of our cats to use it, so 4 of the 5 cats now use the litter robot. I have to clean it out about every 1.5 days, but I don't worry about cleaning the litter box anymore considering how tidy the cleanup has become. I buy 10-7 gallon trash bags at smart & final and I'm all set, I use a bit of scotch tape to keep the bags in place and shizam! I'm a very happy camper. I plan to buy another one just so extend the period in which I have to clean them. we used to have 4 litter boxes, now we have 3 and the 2 are barely used, I want to make it 2, only the litter robots.

The Litter Robot was the only machine I had found online that had positive testimonials for people with 3 or more cats. I was hesitant to pay so much for an electronic litter box, but the positive reviews from people with 5, 8, and even 14 cats were pretty convincing.
I have 6 cats that were using 2 extra large litter boxes between them. Once I received my Litter Robot and put it together, it only took my cats a matter of a few days to start using it. With 6 cats, I thought I would have to empty the tray daily, but I only have to empty it every 2 days. This is money well spent for the time saved in cleaning and the non-existent cat box smell!!

Ingenious design, not hard at all to get even my "scaredy-cats" to use it. My cats love having a clean litter box and I love it, too! It works so well that it takes the dirty work out of cleaning the litter box. I, too, like many other customers have bought Litter Maid automated kitty litter boxes. They aren't bad, but as many noted, the rake design and just the overall design of how they work does cause the rake to get clogged, and then the manual labor begins, which defeats the whole purpose!
The Litter Robot is much quieter, I believe, than the Litter Maid. I currently have two Litter Maids and one Litter Robot. Since I have NINE cats (all indoor) I will be replacing the Litter Maids with the Litter Robot. The Litter Robot IS expensive, but not really when you consider the ease with which the cat box chores can be done. It truly is just as easy as all the testimonials describe ... you pull out the drawer, pull out the trash bag, tie it up, throw it away and put a new trash bag in ... just like emptying the trash can. No more AWFUL stinky rake and rake and rake to get clumps gone! The Litter Robot receptacle is so much roomier better thought out than the Litter Maid receptacle.
I LOVE the fact that you allow your customers to purchase on a payment plan! AWESOME! It makes the product more "in reach" of everyone, no matter the limited budget. It may seem like a lot of money to spend (I know I hesitated) but I was desperate to find something that worked better because of the number of cats I have rescued.
Your product is AWESOME!! I give it a 10+ or an A+ ... actually "off the charts!" And, yes, I will be purchasing another one ... and SOON!! I will give my LitterMaid to one of my friends and will also let them know about the Litter Robot payment plan.
Warmest wishes and with much GRATITUDE!

I want to thank the staff at Litter Robot. The customer service is very helpful and the people are very accommodating to your needs. As a pet owner everybody knows our kitties are like our kids and we want the best care for them. I can't say enough about the litter robot. I've just ordered my second one. My first one I've had for 2 and a half years. My only complaint about the litter robot was the drawer wasn't deep enough. But guess what, the litter robot team is listening to the consumer and always trying to improve their product. I was very pleased to hear they have made some improvements and made a deeper drawer for the waste. You're company is awesome. People don't think I've got two cats because they can't smell the litter box when the come in. It uses very little litter, my cats love it and their box is clean all the time. They also are amused by it and like to watch it turn. Thanks again for a wonderful product and my kitties Bongo and Toby thank you. Keep up the good work. Also thank you for coming down on the price from 2 and a half years ago :)
Sincerely,
Happy kitties in Maine
P.S. Do you think you could come up with a litter robot that runs on batteries and electricity. We take our kitties camping in our fifth wheel camper but don't always have electricity. Let me know if you do. Littermaid has that option but I would never go back to one. I'd scoop out of the litter robot first. :)

We ordered our Litter Robot in December of 2006. It was a refurbished one but you sure couldn't tell it. Five of our six cat took to it immediately. Rather than push the issue, we left our Omega Paws up for Tweak. Today, July 3,2007 ,Tweak did his business in the Litter Robot for the first time. Happy Independence Day!! This product is great, haven't had a bit of trouble with it and will be ordering a second one soon.

I have six cats and needless to say, I was scooping at least four times a day and going through a ton of litter. I wear contacts and couldn't understand why my eyes were constantly dry and red. The eye doctor told me it had to be the cat litter dust getting into my eyes and making them uncomfortable. So, I went on-line looking for a miracle. I found it! The Litter Robot was fantastic! My cats (all 6 of them) took to it the first day! I've had it 2 months now and I'm enjoying the freedom of no scooping, no odor, no dry eyes, and, it hardly uses any litter! Thank you--thank you--thank you!!!

I have had my first litter robot for about 4 months now and it was so great, I had to get a second one as our cat population has increased. I have had 2 litter maids and even while they still worked they couldn't hold a candle to the litter robot. It is very well thought out and really economical to use. The cats love always having a clean litter box and it is so easy to keep up even with all the cats we have in our house. The way it takes care of odor is amazing. I am recommending it to all my friends that have cats. Don't be put off by the price it is well worth it. Thanks to the litter robot team for such a great product!

I got my litter robot and with a little treat temptation one cat was in and addicted J The other cat took a week before she got enough courage to take on the litter box that looks like a dryer. The ever so noticeable litter box smell is gone. Our plumber came in and saw it and said he couldn’t even tell we had cats because he couldn’t smell anything. I give the Litter-Robot an A!!!!

We have had our Litter-Robot for almost three years now, and it has been the best money spent. We just use grocery bags in the receptacle and rarely buy cat litter because it uses so little. My husband loves the fact all he needs to do is pull out the bag on trash day, once a week, and replace with a new one. There is no smell to hide. I always ask my company, and they say they can't smell anything. My parents have now purchased one due to their cat being finicky and not going in the box. They even tried a Litter-mate and hated it. Now they don't have any peeing problems and love the Litter-Robot. We are very grateful for such a great product that solves the only thing I hate about cats-- the litter box. =)

I love it! I have 3 cats- 2 of which are 18 lbs or so. No problem getting all of them to use it after they got used to the noise. It took about 3 weeks. I left the old box next to the Robot. Only problem I have, is one of my male cats just jumps in and instead of turning around he just goes and sometimes it sprays onto the floor. Anyone have any suggestions on how to get him to turn around? lol Most of it goes into the box at the bottom any ways because of the holes in the steps, but I still have to clean it right away.

I just received the litter robot and already love it! I barely had it set up and my cats were already interested. I put in some kitty litter just to let them get a feel for it and within 5 minutes - 2 of my cats used it. Even better, I was sitting in the next room waiting for the cleaning cycle to start and after awhile I went to check on it because I didn't hear it. Come to find out the cleaning cycle had been completed - it is very quiet! I would definitely recommend this, especially to household that have cats and dogs - since dogs are attracted to kitty droppings.
Thank you!

I have been a proud owner of the Litter Robot for a year now. It is awesome!!!! My cats had no problems adjusting to it. It makes my life so much easier! I went through 3 Litter Maids because they kept throwing poop across the room. The rake system of the Litter Maid is worthless. The Litter Robot is amazing. It works so well. I am still amazed each time the Litter Robot goes through a cycle. Thank you for such a great product. My 3 cats and I could not live without it.

I already sent one testimonial, and having owned the machine for a few months now, I just had to write again. It was worth every single penny. Not only did our cats start using it right away, we have since realized that they actually seem to use it for entertainment. They climb in and out. They watch it go through its cycle. They are fascinated by it. I think they actually fight over who gets to use it last.

With eight indoor cats in our home, we think the Litter-Robot is the greatest product since sliced bread! We'd been through three Litter-Maid regular units as well as the Litter-Maid Mega unit (it lasted 4 months) and they don't come close to this modern marvel! No more rakes with nasty clumps to scrub clean, or jammed halfway down the track! Just pull open the drawer, remove and replace the bag, and get on with your life!
Our good friend is extremely allergic to cats, and since we've had the Litter-Robot in our house, no more wheezing, sneezing, or runny nose when he comes to visit. He is amazed that with eight cats there is no litter box odor.
Words cannot express how much we value this product. We've even recommended it to our veterinarian, and when our second unit arrives, I'll be taking it to her office to show her how efficient it is. If you have a cat, you should have a Litter-Robot!
Sincerely,

I have two cats and maintaining their traditional litter boxes was time consuming and gross. No matter how often I cleaned their boxes my house still had a hint of that litter box smell. The litter robot is amazing! My cats figured out how to use it within a day and even find it entertaining. There is no smell in my house anymore and litter-robot maintenance is minimal. Once a week I change the bag - that's it. I was also shocked at how well the mechanics work. I had no trouble setting it up and it works perfectly. This is seriously the best $300 I ever spent.
Thanks for your wonderful product.

I'm very glad I upgraded! The added rubber catches for the bags in the container really does keep everything where it belongs --- in the box. The Litter Robot II is so effective, I sometimes forget about it for more than a week. Since we've been using the Robot II I've noticed that there is no "pile-up". I think that's because of the new design of the container such that what comes in goes to either side of the center.
Thanks,

After a bit of hesitation, I decided to give the Litter-Robot a try and purchase it. I have 2 indoor cats and work every day. Coming home to a house that smells like a litter box is not enjoyable! Then, of course, the chore of cleaning and disinfecting the box is no pleasure either. My daughter came home from work telling me about a friend who owns a Litter-Robot so I searched it on the Internet. It sounded too good to be true, no special litter, no special bags, no combs to clean, quiet, etc. The more I read the more I knew I had to at least try it.
My Litter-Robot arrived Friday and I set it up Friday evening after work. I didn't put litter from their old box in for association, I didn't gradually introduce them. I put the Litter-Robot in place, plugged it in and that was it. They took to the Litter-Robot like a fish to water. After using the Litter-Robot, they will sit outside it and watch it self-clean, sometimes even laying on the floor to watch -- just fascinated.
I cannot tell you what a change has been made in my household by purchasing the Litter-Robot. The cats are happy, their momma is happy, and it makes for a happy, sweet smelling home. Thank you so much for creating such a wonderful device. I wish I had known about Litter-Robot earlier! I have told all my cat-loving friends about it too.

I've spent hundreds of dollars over the years on the electronic rake boxes, replacing them about once a year. I found them even in perfect working order to be quite disgusting, the rake needs cleaning all the time (which was impossible), a few malfunctioned, you name it. I hated to spend this much on one box, but in reality I spent double this amount on the other boxes when you add them all up.
I had two rake boxes in "perfect" working order when I ordered this box a year ago. They give a guarantee, so I figured they are confident in their product. People thought I had gone mad to spend this on a litter box. But the difference was amazing. Within 3 months I had donated the rake boxes to charity. I will never be without one of these again. I have 2 Persians and they have no issues with it, one of them is pretty big and quite skittish and he's never even had an issue with it. They have both used the box since they were kittens. I only need to empty it once a week. It contains the smell and it has never once malfunctioned, under heavy use over the last year.
This is truly an appliance grade product and you get what you pay for in the cat box arena. It is worth every penny.

We had tried EVERY other automatic litter box (unsuccessfully) before we found the Litter-Robot! We've had our Litter-Robot for almost 2 years - it still works perfectly and has made life with 14 (yes 14) cats possible - we had no room for enough litter boxes to keep the finicky ones happy! Now they all have a clean box all the time. We're considering buying one of the new ones to replace our remaining litter boxes - our only problem is the Litter-Robot is too wide to fit in most of our litter box friendly spaces. But we LOVE the one we've got!

Your Litter Robot is the best invention I've seen! What a clever idea! AND, best of all, it lives up to all your promises! I am such a fan that, even though I've had my first Litter Robot for only about 4 months or so, I took you up on your offer to upgrade. My cats & I will absolutely die if you ever go out of business. So will my friends who look in on my cats while I'm away. Your litter "box" is the talk of our neighborhood! And, thank you to your customer service agent whom I had to call recently. I was having a problem with the sensor, which wasn't picking up on the cats entering the box. Turns out it was just a matter of adjusting the screw on the bottom of the box. The customer service agent patiently walked me through the fix. Thanks, again -

I am not a cat person….my wife now has three. I thought oh great I will have the cat smell and mess associated with being a cat owner. Well I have had the unit for over a year now and it is great. No smell, no mess and I just read the article about the new unit with a larger pan. I will be ordering this unit soon and giving the one I have to another non-cat person. LOL Thanks for such a great product.

Hi, I just wanted to say that this product is totally amazing. My cats and I both love it! It is so easy to set-up, use, and clean. My house no longer smells of cat. The cats also love that their litter is clean. Sometimes they even set the sensor off to amuse themselves, they watch it spin around and 'round...crazy cats. Well thank you for such a useful, easy, and quality product.

I bought the original litter robot in 2002 and thought it was the greatest thing ever developed after messing with other automated litter boxes. It moved with us from Texas to Utah to Germany to North Carolina. It stopped working at the end of 2006 after I hosed all the electronics trying to clean out the poop that had caked under the control panel due to it's shallow drawer. I ordered another litter robot, kicking myself for trashing a $300 cat box. Well had I known how improved the Litter Robot II was I may have ordered it anyway. The materials the robot are made out of are improved, it has a higher quality feel to it. The filtering screen is much better. But the biggest improvement is the drawer; it's deeper and with the poop distribution ridge along the bottom I can go a full week between emptying it and I've got two cats! No more caked poop! Cats live for twenty years. Do yourself a favor - get a cat box that's up to the task.

This is the best litter box ever made! I had various versions of the rake litter box models and had to constantly clean the rake, reset the motion detector and still ended up scooping litter! I was getting ready to go back to the old fashioned box when I read a review for the Litter Robot... took a chance and it is the best thing I ever did! It truly is a no-fuss box and my cats took to it immediately. I rave about this litter box and this convinced my cousin to buy one...now we both sing its praises.
I have had it for two years now and have not had any problems with it... and the best thing is that I go through 1/2 the litter I had to use for the "other" litter boxes.

I've had my Litter Robot for almost a month now and I am still amazed at how well it performs. I previously owned a LitterMaid and constantly had problems with it jamming and filling up in only a day or two - plus trying to find the right kind and amount of cat litter that would work with it. I have 5 cats, two of which weigh over 15 pounds, so I was somewhat concerned that the Litter-Robot would be too small - I should not have worried. ALL my cats use and LOVE the LitterRobot! They all took to it right away and I am stunned at how clean it keeps the litter. It is very quiet and there is no smell or mess, plus it is built like a tank. I only have to empty the drawer once a week and add litter - it is saving me large amounts of money on litter. I went through two boxes a week with the LitterMaid. With the LitterRobot, a box lasts me two full weeks!
Thank you for inventing such a wonderful product - I and my cats absolutely LOVE it!

I believe I spoke to Wendy more then once due to the fact that my two cats were still using their old litter box and not exploring the new one. You suggested Cat Attract". Thank you, thank you, thank you, I don't know if it was that but I decided to run the cycle a day after adding the cat attract liter and discovered that yes someone had been there! After 2 more days I decided to take a risk and take away the old litter box and I have not had a problem since.
I love this product!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It is so easy.
I run the cycle manually 3 times a day since one of my cats is a "scardy cat" and would freak out if she saw it moving.
I leave it plugged in and the switch turned off, and 3 times a day I just close the door with them out and turn the switch on.
It is so easy to change bags and the amount of litter you save from the traditional method is incredible. I used to just pick up the whole bag and dispose of it instead of scooping. I would recommend this product to anyone and tell them, please have patience with your cat.
I appreciated the fact that I had 60 days to return it if it didn't work out, that took the stress off of pushing the cats into it.
Best of all is customer service. These were kind and patient ladies helping you and suggesting ideas to attract your cat into it.
Thank you for a great product, my sister already has one and I will definitely recommend it to anyone else.
Just wanted to say thank you, my last call I was very distraught…But now I'm happy!
Kind Regards,

To Litter-Robot Team: First off, I would like to commend you on a great product and service! We received our Litter-Robot 1 day after ordering it. The packaging was well thought out, easy to unpack. That being said, unfortunately our cats weren't as impressed. We tried everything you listed in | |
